For more than eighteen years Dr. Karen Gardner Bagnell has diligently worked and studied the mechanisms of breech and transverse presentations, pregnancy and delivery.
She committed to empowering doctors of chiropractic and chiropractic students in developing and growing a pregnancy care practice by assisting and teaching how to safely and effectively address the special needs of pregnant women and their families.
Dr. Karen Gardner Bagnell graduated from Life College in 1993. She has two practices Pennsylvania. Both are family practices where she focuses her attention on children and pregnant women. She is considered by many in her community to be a pregnancy and family care specialist.
Among dozens of other locations, Dr. Gardner Bagnell has guest lectured at The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia on the importance of Chiropractic care during pregnancy, labor and the post partum period. Most recently she was invited to speak at the American Association of Birth Centers on Optimal Fetal Positioning at Penn State.
Dr. Gardner Bagnell has two beautiful children, Amanda and Christopher; both born naturally and with the aid of the power of chiropractic. The birth of her son was featured on The Learning Channel “A Baby Story”. He was born at home, in a hot tub.
Dr. Karen has had the privilege of assisting at the births of her patients. At the patients’ request, Dr. Karen Gardner Bagnell provided chiropractic care throughout labor and delivery. She also cares for patients at a local birth center on a regular basis. Dr. Karen has also been invited to speak at the Philadelphia Conference for Midwifery Today Magazine, to present her expertise to the midwifery profession and is continually featured in chiropractic, pregnancy and midwifery publications.
