An exemption can be for medical reasons, such as your child has poor health and a compromised immune system and vaccinating would further endanger your child's health. If your child has had a bad reaction to previous vaccines, you can also use this exemption. This exemption must be accompanied by a letter from your medical doctor.
You may also have a religious exemption. It is NOT required that your religion specifically speak against artificial immunity, i.e. vaccines. You can have a strong ethical and philosophical belief that resembles a religious conviction to choose this exemption.
